Zoom out when loosing focus?

I have a map control inside a tab control. So far everything works ok but when I switch from the map to another tab and back the map zooms out to the initial view. I want it to stay where it was! How can this be achieved? Thanks ...

Try to use the Persisted State Control, http://deepearth.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Persisted%20State%20Control&referringTitle=Toolkit%20Control%20Matrix

Seems strange to store a controls properties somewhere just to make sure they don't change. I wouldn't save the text of a label when switching to another tab ...

I got another problem: When running my silverlight 4 app out of browser it shows a blue transparent rectangle in the center of the map and moving it using the mouse doesn't work anymore. Inside the browser everything is fine. The same rectangle shows up at http://deepearth.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=DeepEarth%20Map%20Control%20Online%20Demo&referringTitle=Home even when running inside the browser ...

My xaml looks like this:

<sdk:TabItem Header="Map">
                <DeepEarth:Map x:Name="map" >
                    <DeepControls:NavControl />
                    <DeepControls:CoordControl />
                </DeepEarth:Map>
            </sdk:TabItem>

Any ideas?
