How to use DrawControl in deepearth sl4

In deepearth sl3 Solution there has a GeometryTools named DrawControl,which is used for draw line、PinPoint、Polygon and so on...
I copyed these code to the deepearth sl4 Solution and modify the code, then Compiled these project.I find that DrawControl can not work(I used these code : _map.GeometryTools.DrawMode = DrawControl.GeometryMode.StringLine;  these code works well in sl3)   is anyone have used the DrawControl in deepearth sl4 or anyone knows why?? thank you

The project Controls.DrawingTool in the SL4 solution might have what you need. I'm trying to modify it to support dragging a rectangle (e.g. to specify a zoom box). This was supported "out of the box" in the SL3 solution.

I have to admit that the code in the SL4 solution is a lot more complicated than the SL3 one. I'm having a tough time getting my head around it.

Developers - do you have a design spec that explains the SL4 solution from a software development design perspective? If so, can you share it?
